And one final word…

Romania’s game development scene and the wider creative ecosystem inspired by the country is remarkably diverse. From folk horror and psychological thrillers to cosy adventures, urban experiences, strategy games and chaotic multiplayer projects, there is no single formula defining what Romanian indie games should be. Instead, what stands out is the variety of voices.

These projects demonstrate that Romanian developers are increasingly willing to explore local history, folklore, architecture and personal experiences while also experimenting with genres and ideas that can resonate with players around the world. That is precisely why supporting and promoting independent developers matters.

Through CuibulCuJocuri, we are committed to bringing more attention to Romanian games and the people behind them. Collaborations with platforms such as Indie-cent Exposure can help these projects reach audiences far beyond Romania.

A lot is happening in Romania’s indie scene, and these games are only part of the story.
