A few months ago, we went digging through Romania’s indie development scene and came away with 22 games we thought deserved considerably more attention.
Turns out we weren’t the only ones keen to show them off.
We’re teaming up with Romanian gaming site CuibulCuJocuri to celebrate both that Romanian indie games roundup and a rather important milestone of their own: CuibulCuJocuri is turning one.
And birthdays need presents.
Although, in this case, somebody else gets them.
One lucky visitor will receive a bundle of PC games from Romanian indie developers, covering retro Dracula action, real-time naval warfare, Lovecraftian point-and-click adventure and a relaxing journey through landscapes inspired by Romania itself.
Not a bad birthday party.
Celebrating Romanian indie games together
CuibulCuJocuri has spent its first year covering games and wider gaming culture from Romania, including plenty of attention for the country’s own developers.
That’s something we’ve increasingly been doing here too.
Earlier this year, our two sites worked together around our feature highlighting 22 Romanian indie games worth knowing about, shining a light on everything from horror and strategy to cosy games, experimental projects and retro throwbacks.
CuibulCuJocuri has been doing similar work from within Romania itself, including its own coverage of local development and projects appearing through events such as ENDIX.
So, when the opportunity came up to celebrate their first birthday by giving away a selection of Romanian games, we weren’t exactly going to say no.
Here’s what one winner will be getting.
Vlad Voievod Dracula bundle
Developer: Tiberius
We’ve already crossed paths with Tiberius and his wonderfully old-school take on the historical Vlad Dracula more than once.
Rather than vampires, capes, and people dramatically avoiding garlic, the Vlad Voievod Dracula games focus on Vlad Țepeș as the medieval ruler of Wallachia.
The winner will receive the full current set:
- Vlad Voievod Dracula: Episode 1 Manhunt
- Vlad Voievod Dracula: Dungeons of Egrigoz
- Vlad Voievod Dracula: Dungeons of Edirne
Episode 1 combines side-scrolling action with multiple playable characters and a story built around Vlad’s attempt to reclaim the Wallachian throne. Dungeons of Egrigoz and Dungeons of Edirne expand that world with smaller Classicvania-style adventures steeped in medieval horror.
If you miss the days when games expected you to learn enemy patterns, get better and occasionally swear at your controller, you’ll probably feel quite at home.

Fleet Hunters
Developer: Gnarly Labs SRL
Battleship, but nobody politely waits for their turn.
That’s a pretty effective way of summing up Fleet Hunters.
Released in September 2026, Gnarly Labs’ naval strategy game takes the familiar idea of hunting a hidden enemy fleet and turns it into a much faster real-time duel where both players can fire simultaneously.
You can play solo, compete online, use LAN multiplayer or even play locally using a shared screen and phones.
And for anyone who hears “real-time Battleship” and immediately becomes uncomfortable, there is a Classic Mode too.
We appreciate the consideration.
Gibbous – A Cthulhu Adventure
Developer: Stuck In Attic
Cosmic horror.
Ancient conspiracies.
Cultists.
A talking cat.
Gibbous – A Cthulhu Adventure comes from Transylvanian indie studio Stuck In Attic and takes the ingredients of Lovecraftian horror before running them through a beautifully animated point-and-click comedy.
The adventure follows three protagonists through a hand-painted world full of puzzles, bizarre characters and increasingly questionable encounters with things humanity was probably better off not knowing about.
Originally released in 2019, it remains one of the more established games in this giveaway, with a Very Positive rating from more than 1,000 English-language Steam reviews at the time of writing.
Also, again:
Talking cat.
We’re sold.

Arcadian Days
Developer: IMMERSIV GAMES
After Dracula, hidden battleships and cosmic horror, you may need something slightly calmer.
Arcadian Days should do nicely.
This solo-developed exploration game is inspired by Romanian landscapes, culture and childhood nostalgia, placing you in an open environment designed to reward curiosity rather than constantly throwing objectives and waypoints at you.
There is no combat and no traditional quest log.
Instead, you explore handcrafted spaces, solve light puzzles and piece together slice-of-life stories at your own pace.
Its Romanian influence isn’t just a backdrop either. The environments and overall atmosphere draw deliberately from Romanian and Eastern European landscapes, making it particularly fitting for a bundle celebrating the country’s independent development scene.
One birthday, one bundle, plenty of Romanian indies
So, one winner will receive PC codes for:
- Vlad Voievod Dracula – Episode 1 Manhunt, Dungeons of Egrigoz and Dungeons of Edirne
- Fleet Hunters
- Gibbous – A Cthulhu Adventure
- Arcadian Days
It’s a nicely strange little snapshot of Romanian indie development.
One developer is digging into the country’s medieval history through retro action games. Another is reworking a classic tabletop idea into competitive multiplayer. Stuck In Attic is throwing jokes and talking cats into cosmic horror, while IMMERSIV GAMES is interested in something altogether quieter and more personal.
Four very different reasons to keep an eye on what Romanian developers are making.
